The
RoXdon VU-REFERENCE Master VU meter is a 2-channel (left & right) Professional Analog VU Meter
featuring accurate, high quality vintage style VU meters housed in a
aluminium diecast box. The meter unit is intended to be used
in a studio recording setup for measurement of recording output levels.
The
VU-REFERENCE meter is ideal for measuring final Mixdown or Mastering levels. Compared to a
LED meter, a VU has a slower attack time which allows the faster transients
to get by before it registers the signal and gives a reading. Because of
these characteristics a VU meter is fairly accurate and preferable when measuring overall
level of your program material.
The
VU-REFERENCE meters
are calibrated for the Pro Audio level standard, 0VU = +4dBu (1.228V into a 600 ohm load) and are driven
by a VU buffer driver circuit so the connected audio remains unaffected.
The
unit is powered by an external
International Power Supply therefore preventing interaction with the
meters and audio
circuit. The Power Supply includes UK, EU, USA & Australian adapters. A
convenient on-off power switch is located on the front panel.
